Google Drive

File storage is connected at the user level: files go to your own Google Drive account, and a link is posted in the chat.

How to connect

Profile settings → Add-ons → Google Drive → Connect. Branzy requests access only to files created by the app itself (drive.file); it cannot see the rest of your Drive.

How to use

1. In chat type /gdrive and choose a file.
2. Branzy uploads it to Google Drive and posts a message with the link in the feed.

Where files go

Files are organised into folders automatically:

Branzy / project name / chat / file

Missing folders are created on the first upload.

Link access

Link access is opened on the file and the link is posted to the chat — the recipient doesn’t need to own the drive.

Limitations

• The file lives in your account, not on Branzy servers — Google Drive sets the permissions and quota.
• If access is revoked, the command stops working until you reconnect.
