Public links for tasks and notes

Show a task or a document to someone without an account: what they see and how to turn access off.

A public link lets a contractor or a customer open a task or a note in a browser — no invitation and no registration.

What the recipient sees

Only the task or note you shared. The rest of the project, chats, and other tasks stay hidden.

How to turn it on

  1. Open the task or note.
  2. In the Share menu, turn on the public link.
  3. Copy the link and send it to the recipient.

For tasks you can set a public name, shown to the recipient instead of the internal one.

Who can turn it on

A public link to a task is created by a member with the “Create tasks” permission. See members and permissions.

How to turn it off

Switch the link off in the same menu — the old address stops opening.
